The Castle

Around the year 1000, the Lord of Gasc, originally from Gascony, built this square tower, one of the four oldest in the Cantal region.

Constructed with 2-meter-thick walls and a narrow spiral staircase, it is remarkable that it has retained its authenticity and is still habitable, despite the numerous battles that have taken place there over the centuries: the Hundred Years' War, the Wars of Religion, and finally, the French Revolution.

Guest Rooms

The Château de Lescure, located in the Brezons Valley in the Cantal region, offers three guest rooms in the Tower. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms, with their ribbed vaults, are an exceptional example of early medieval architecture.

The Princess of Harcourt Room is located in the main building of the Château, dating from the 18th century.

Each room features a period fireplace and a modern bathroom.

The table d'hote

Organic cuisine, vegetables sourced largely from the garden or local producers, including Aubrac beef from the Joffrois and Dutrevis butchers, whose reputation extends far beyond our region.

The Cantal cheese comes from Condutier in Pierrefort.

Activities

Around the Château de Lescure, located on the border of Cantal and Aveyron, you will discover a multitude of cultural, sporting and nature activities.
